There is no truly successful and high-impact digitalisation of public and private services without data sharing. Data sharing is a pre-requisite for high-quality research and innovation. And while academic researchers have found a way to deploy data sharing to streamline their tasks and allow for greater understanding of the subject matter, increasing at the same time the validity and credibility of their research, the same cannot be said for data sharing practices B2G and G2B. We will discuss on this workshop how failing to share data actively hampers a stronger innovation process and what can be done to improve the situation.
