The EUHubs4Data project co-organised the Data Week 2021 together with BDVA / DAIRO. The spring gathering of the European community around data-driven innovation and industrial AI has offered an exciting programme of 3 days fully packed with a total of 40 different online sessions and more than 250 speakers.
The event was held online from 25th to the 27th of May, following the tradition of the Big Data Value Summit, fostering the networking and cooperation on research, development and business innovation around Big Data.
During the course of three days, the sessions were organised in 4 different tracks. EUHubs4Data project organised 8 workshops and 2 regional events through a dedicated track and participated in many other sessions. The EUHubs4Data workshops highlighted some interesting topics such as how to address technical challenges of building a European federation of DIHs (by looking directly at the project as a use case), the role of DIHs in expanding data skills in Europe, how SMEs can improve the digitalisation of traditional sectors with AI and data services… and much more.
With this event, EUHubs4Data had the opportunity to present officially to the European Data community, to show its latest achievements, the strategy to create the European federation of data driven hubs, and how it is contributing to the creation of the European common data spaces
At the event there were many experts including leading researchers, innovators, policy makers from the European Commission and Member States, leading European technology companies and other relevant initiatives. The great panels and presentations of the 4 tracks allowed relevant dialogues to discuss opportunities, challenges and gave visibility to a large number of innovative projects, SMEs and European research.
The success of the event has been possible thanks to the amazing organising team, programme committee and of course the enthusiastic speakers, presenters and participants.
All the session recordings and the slides will be uploaded to BDVA YouTube channel and published at the Data Week website during the upcoming weeks. Follow our social media channels Linkedin and Twitter, and you will be the first one to know when the materials are available!
