The Data Week 2022 concluding event took place on the 8 and 9th of June in Naples, Italy.
On the first day, the European Commission and local, industry and research representatives delivered the keynotes.
After the sessions on Data for Trustworthy AI, challenges of SMEs in the data economy and the current cutting-edge approaches in data and AI technologies, the BDVA i-Spaces took the stage. The i-Spaces introduced themselves and highlighted the work done in the data-driven innovation hubs and the EUHubs4Data Federation. In the evening, the community met at a local yacht club to enjoy Italian delicacies in a relaxed atmosphere.
The second day had a strong focus on Data Spaces, giving perspectives on governance, regulation, standardisation and interoperability, and finding solutions to transforming research and innovation to market value. Keynote speakers and representatives of the local ecosystem shared with the European community the assets, plans and ambition to put the city and region at the forefront of data-driven innovation ecosystems.
During the three weeks of Data Week, EUHubs4Data organised a dedicated track with five sessions; moreover, the DIHs from all over Europe also engaged with the local communities around data-related topics with eight sessions in both English and local language.
We are happy we could bring the EUHubs4Data perspective to the participants in the Data Week and make a wider audience aware of the project’s progress, the status of the experiments, and all that EUHubs4Data is building to consolidate the pan-European data-driven federation of DIHs.
The recordings of the sessions of the EUHubs4Data track are now available on the BDVA YouTube channel and also accessible from the . Check also our Twitter and LinkedIn accounts for some insights and pictures of the final event in Naples!
