TeraLab proposes its expertise to set up an infrastructure capable of hosting an IT challenge, hackathon, or similar event. We provision a secure and isolated environment for each participating team, create the corresponding user accounts, and install the required tools.
TeraLab infrastructure is suited for multi-team IT challenges (up to several tens of teams). TeraLab provisions customized working environments, called “workspaces”, to host a number of teams participating in the challenge. Each team will have private access to a virtual machine (VM) or a set of them.
The added value of the TeraLab challenge hosting service is the flexibility for customizing the workspace. For example, the challenge might require more than one VM per team, have a shared data space for all participants, or need some specific ports to be open/closed.
In TeraLab, the VMs can be configured in terms of size (CPU, RAM, storage), topology, and security parameters (firewall, proxy, reverse proxy).
Our offer includes:
- (Optional) Consultancy for architecture and dimensioning of the workspace.
- Technical specification of the hackathon preparation.
- Setting up the individual and shared resources.
- (Optional) Installation of required tools.
- Creation of accounts for the team administrators.
- Support prior to and during the event.
- Safe destruction of the workspace after the event.
Note: This service does not include the organization and coordination of the event; we only provide the infrastructure.
